Effective July 1, 2024, PNWFCU has eliminated non-sufficient funds (NSF) fees. This change underscores our ongoing commitment to enhancing our members’ financial well-being and reaffirms our role as Your Financial Partner for Life.

NSF fees were previously charged when an item was presented against an account with insufficient available funds and the item was returned as unpaid. Going forward, we will not charge a fee if such an item is returned for non-sufficient funds. We will continue to charge fees for items that are paid at our discretion or through our Courtesy Pay program.

PNWFCU always encourages responsible management of your finances and we have several options available to help prevent overdrafts. We can help you set up overdraft protection from another account or line of credit, including a PNWFCU Visa card. In addition, we offer several free online tools to help you manage your account, such as low balance account alerts, transaction notifications, and transfers between financial institutions. We also have a free online budgeting tool that makes it easier than ever to set savings goals, track spending, and create budgets.

Please reach out to us with any questions about setting up overdraft protection or online banking alerts and tools. We’re here to provide you with the education and resources that you need for financial success.
